These terms govern your use of the FORGE iOS app and forgestreak.com
website (together, the "Service"), operated by Michael Ellis as an independent
developer ("FORGE", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU/UK) to use FORGE. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
FORGE uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for safeguarding your Apple ID and for all activity under your FORGE account. Notify us immediately at hello@forgestreak.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
FORGE offers a free tier and a premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID at the price displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel your subscription anytime in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy (support.apple.com/HT204084). FORGE does not process refunds directly.
We may change subscription pricing for new subscribers; existing subscribers will receive in-app notice before any price change applies to them.
The friends feature requires a premium subscription. By using it, you understand that your username, tier, and weekly XP will be visible to users you have accepted invite links from. You can remove a friend at any time, which immediately revokes mutual visibility. We are not responsible for content other users may share or display (e.g., usernames you find offensive — block them by removing the friend).
You retain ownership of the disciplines, check-ins, streaks, and other content you create in FORGE ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely as necessary to operate the Service on your behalf. We do not use Your Content to train AI models, sell to third parties, or display in marketing.
The FORGE app, the FORGE name, the FORGE logo, and all related trademarks and designs are owned by us. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial use under these terms — that's it.
We aim for high availability but make no guarantees. The Service depends on third-party providers (Apple, Google Firebase) whose outages may affect us. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime, data syncing delays, or feature changes.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. FORGE is a discipline tracker, not medical advice or a substitute for professional support.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORGE AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOST GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (b) USD 50.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FORGE and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) survive termination.
We may update these terms when the app changes or laws change. Material changes will be notified in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to that jurisdiction. If you reside in the EU/UK, this clause does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
These terms are between you and FORGE, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. In the event of conflict between these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes), the Apple terms control with respect to your use of the App Store. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
